Biz Buzz: Crunch Fitness to open Oct. 31

ST. CLOUD — Crunch Fitness is set to open on Oct. 31 at Crossroads Center.

The fitness center will hold a pre-opening party on Oct. 30. Group fitness classes will begin on Nov. 4.

Crunch Fitness in July announced

plans for a $5 million fitness center at the mall.

The 40,000-square-foot facility will include cardio machines, a high-intensity training zone, fitness classes, free weights, personal training, tanning beds, a sauna and locker rooms, according to a

Facebook post.

Crunch Fitness has more than 400 locations across the country, including in Maple Grove and Blaine.

Crossroads Center is at 4101 W. Division St. in St. Cloud.

New tenant slated for Crossroads Center

MINISO, a global lifestyle brand offering a variety of products, is planned to open at Crossroads Center. An opening date has yet to be announced.

is known for its plushies, collectible toys, stationery, beauty essentials, home goods, fragrances, electronics and snacks,

according to information on the mall’s website.

The store is known as an IP collection store, meaning it sells products from intellectual property collaborations with Disney, Care Bears, Pixar, Barbie, Hello Kitty and more.

MINISO has more than 100 stores in the country, with locations on the east and west coasts, Texas and Florida,

according to store locator information on its website.

The St. Cloud location would be its only store in the Midwest.

Blacklight Adventures opens new attractions

Blacklight Adventures in St. Cloud has opened two 9-hole mini golf courses and a batting simulator.

The mini golf courses are themed, with one dedicated to a pirate cove and another to a jungle adventure. The batting simulator allows for people to practice pitching or hitting in a home run derby or games.

The addition of mini golf is part of Blacklight’s nearly 12,000-square-foot expansion in a section of the former Burlington Coat Factory, at 240 33rd Ave. S. in St. Cloud.

Blacklight Adventures also offers laser tag, escape rooms and adventure rooms. The business is owned and operated by Jay and Tina Mzorek.

Sauk Rapids therapy opens

Creative Connections Counseling has opened a new clinic in Sauk Rapids.

Rebecca Cluever, who has worked in mental health services for nearly 20 years, owns and operates the business. She started the practice nine years ago, serving Benton and Stearns county area.

The new Sauk Rapids location is part of the city’s aim to deepen its impact and provide accessible mental health care to more members of the community, according to a release. There will be a grand opening event in December.
