Investigate an ancient castle overrun by the undead in Black Ops 6’s Citadelle des Morts map, and here’s how to beat the Easter Egg.
For players who want to obtain the Solais Sword in Black Ops 6, they can find all the easy steps they need to complete below, along with some helpful translations of the symbols required for a later step that will make claiming this powerful blade all too easy.
Step 1: Acquire the Lion Bastard Sword
Once players have a Stamp from a Templar helmet zombie, players can head into the Dining Hall and look at the far right statue. This statue is noticeable because of the red crystal above it, and behind the statue is the hallway that leads to the Dungeon. The statue itself will have a lion crest on the chest, and interacting with the statue will provide the Lion Bastard Sword. However, upon immediately picking it up, 4 glowing Parasites will spawn.
Step 2: Bring the Glowing Parasites to the Lion Sanctuary
Once the glowing Parasites spawn, it’s vital that players do not kill them. If they do, then they will respawn in the next round, but avoid the hassle and just tolerate them for now. Players are going to need to run over past the Courtyard and into the Upper Village area just down the stairs where Speed Cola is located.
Once here, in the small hallway, players can find a door with a golden lion head door handle. What players need to do is use the Lion Bastard Sword to kill a glowing parasite. Doing so will cause the Lion Bastard Sword to glow orange. Now, players can hit the lion door to reveal a symbol. Repeat this will all 4 Parasites until the lion door has four symbols.
Step 3: Complete the Lion Sanctuary Puzzle Code
Once players have the lion door with four symbols, interact with the door to enter inside the Sanctuary. At the end of the room will be a pillar where players can interact with it to place their sword inside. This will begin a 60-second timer where players must shoot 4 symbols in a specific order. The order remains the same for every game, and the image above shows the order of the symbols. Players will need to shoot the specific symbol that is shown on the sword pillar, and the symbol itself will move around the room – and can only be shot when it is on a wall.
Repeat this for all 4 symbols. Failing to do this within 60 seconds will fail the step, but all players need to do is return to the lion door in the next round and try again. It’s worth noting that zombies do spawn in this room, but they are reduced to a walking speed. However, if that’s still a problem, either kill them or throw Decoys to keep them away.
Step 4: Obtain the Solais Sword
Once players have completed the Sanctuary puzzle within the given time limit, players can approach the pillar where they sheathed their Lion Bastard Sword. It has now been imbued with light, and players can interact with it to acquire the Solais Wonder Weapon, providing another incredible Sword to use in Citadelle des Morts. Once players pick up the sword, they will be kicked out of the Sanctuary and they will return to the normal map.
If players don’t want to use Solais anymore or want to give it to a teammate, then they can head back to the Dining Hall and interact with the Lion Knight statue in the right corner to return the blade, thus making it available for anyone to acquire and returning players’ dedicated melee weapon.
Is the Solais Sword Good?
The Solais Sword is rather underrated when compared to the other sword upgrades, and there are a few reasons for that. Firstly, is its effects, as the Solais Sword doesn’t provide any elemental damage like the other choices, but that doesn’t make it worthless. In fact, Solais is the only sword that can repair armor with each hit and kill. This means that when the Solais Sword is charged, instead of using its Special Attack, players can kill zombies to repair their armor. Pairing this ability with Melee Macchiato’s Vampiric Augment, players will be able to heal both shields and armor with each kill.
Where Solais does feel a tad weaker than the other swords is its Special Attack, as it will create an energy field around the player that only lasts around 4 seconds, and in that time, zombies that venture too close will be killed. However, in high rounds, this damaging effect isn’t that great, and it will do nothing to stop Amalgams and Doppelghasts.
