Lisa of Blackpink‘s appearance during the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City on Oct. 15 generated media engagement and impact. The Thai rapper, singer and dancer opened the runway show with a rousing performance of her hit song “Rockstar,” and returned for another performance of her song “Moonlit Floor.”
Lisa joined a bevy of A-list stars and celebrities who attended the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, the brand’s first since going on hiatus in 2018. With one single placement on Instagram, Lisa generated $1.6 million in media impact value for the brand, according to Launchmetrics. (MIV is a proprietary metric that assigns a true monetary value to marketing strategies across print, online and social media to calculate ROI.)
By comparison, singer Tyla generated $2 million in MIV via four of her Instagram posts. Victoria’s Secret’s return to the runway for its 2024 fashion show reigned supreme over media worldwide, generating $304.8 million in MIV — nearly the same figure as the entire New York Fashion Week in September, featuring spring 2025 collections.
Prior to her electrifying performances on the Victoria’s Secret runway, Lisa hit the red carpet wearing a significant piece from the VS vault. The singer styled an archival look from the brand’s last runway show in 2018.
Originally modeled by Taylor Hill, the ensemble featured a floor-length sheer black cape with celestial, shimmering details like stars and crescent moons adorning the fabric. Beneath the cape, Lisa wore a jewel-encrusted bra with harness-style straps, which linked to a choker around her neck to the bodice.
The look was completed with silver chains, which connected to another jeweled band around Lisa’s torso.
Following a six-year hiatus, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned to New York City on Oct. 15. The 2024 spectacle aired live on Prime Video and across Victoria’s Secret’s YouTube, Instagram and TikTok platforms. Former Angels such as Tyra Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio and Taylor Hill walked the runway alongside new faces like Paloma Elsesser and Devyn Garcia. Along with Blackpink’s Lisa, Cher and Tyla served as the evening’s musical guests.
