BLACKPINK’S Lisa Got The Lingerie Memo for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made a major return this week, inviting some of today’s biggest names to walk the red — or pink — carpet including BLACKPINK’S Lisa.

The K-pop star posed in front of photographers on Tuesday night at Brooklyn’s Navy Yard in New York City ahead of her performance debut. While the brand has undergone some major changes over the last several years and returned to audiences after a six-year hiatus, the red carpet looked familiar i.e. a LOT of lingerie and over-the-top accessories.

For Lisa’s part, she went with a nod to lingerie with ultra-short black shorts, a rhinestone Victoria’s Secret bra, and a sheer cape, embroidered with wings that hung down to the ground.

Lisa paired the outfit with black heels and a body chain. Her glam was subtle but gorgeous, with thin eyeliner and a bronze lip. Her long bangs hung down, shaping her wavy hair — which was in line with the classic Victoria’s Secret wavy blowout that’s been the main hairstyle for years.

BLACKPINK’S Lisa is one of several performers to take the runway on October 15, for the live revival of the controversial but once-beloved fashion show. The BLACKPINK star performed as part of the slate of all-women musicians, next to Tyla and Cher.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show had taken a step back in the last few years after the company faced backlash for transphobic remarks made by its then chief of marketing, Ed Razek, on top of the ongoing conversation about the show promoting ultra-skinny models. Other brands like Aerie, Savage x Fenty, and Skims became the popular go-to lingerie brands due to their size inclusivity, and diversity of models.

Victoria’s Secret clawed its way back with this fashion show, bringing back model veterans including Tyra Banks, Kate Moss, Adriana Lima, and more while showcasing fan favorites like Bella and Gigi Hadid.
