Blake Lively has pivoted from being the biggest Deadpool & Wolverine stan of all time back to promoting her own film, It Ends With Us, seamlessly. Almost like that major red satin catsuit moment (alongside Gigi Hadid‘s fashion-first ode to Hugh Jackman‘s character) never happened.

Looking at all of Blake’s previous press tour outfits – a floral-embellished tutu, a sheer black mini dress decorated with elaborate sequinned flowers, Valentino flower cut-out jeans – there’s been a lot of ‘floral fashion’ moments. Which… makes sense considering her character in the film is, in fact, a florist. So no surprise her latest look is of course sticking to the same method dressing theme, albeit in a much subtler way.

The Gossip Girl alum donned a nude mini dress from Michael Kors (she’s a regular on the front row of the designer’s New York Fashion Week show, FYI). And, upon closer inspection, the leather fabric was actually decorated with a laser-cut, lace-effect floral design.

Take a look at the bottom part of the garment to see what we mean, with the detailing more noticeable in the see-through skirt due to her nude bodysuit camouflaging the intricate design. We told you, subtle.

And, the floral elements don’t end there. Blake paired the dress with Christian Louboutin white court shoes, revealing in the caption of her post they featured a gold floral stem high heel with a petal cupping the bottom of the leather. You can just about peep the detail in slide seven. Honestly, her attention to detail and commitment to the brief is next level.

A camel-coloured sweater from Guest in Residence (Gigi’s knitwear label) completed the look. Not floral, but we love the fact she chose to rep her BFF’s brand. Snaps for Blake all around!
