Blue Cross of Idaho names Peter Perez as vice president of business operations

MERIDIAN, Idaho – Blue Cross of Idaho is pleased to announce that Peter Perez has been named as the company’s vice president of Business Operations. In this new role, Perez will lead the Corporate Services, Enrollment and Billing Services, Grievances and Appeals and Payment Integrity departments.

“Peter’s leadership is a blend of vision, innovation, and inclusivity,” said Leslie Carter, Chief Operations Officer for Blue Cross of Idaho. “He has led broad-scale initiatives that have resulted in significant cost savings, streamlined internal processes, and enhanced customer satisfaction. Peter will help us continue our mission of delivering an exceptional experience to our members.”

Prior to his appointment at Blue Cross of Idaho, Perez held the position of vice president of Provider Experience and Network Operations at CVS Health. During his tenure, he spearheaded the transformation of provider operations, leveraging data analytics, automation, and technology innovation to drive efficiency and improve service delivery.

Perez also served as vice president of Member and Provider Experience at Highmark Inc., vice president of Customer Care for Iron Mountain, vice president of Customer Engagement and Contact Centers at Amerihealth Caritas Inc., and vice president of Global Operations at Healthways Inc.

Perez earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in Michigan and is certified in Six Sigma and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

Perez and his family will relocate from New York and are excited to embrace the vibrant community of Idaho. Outside of work, Perez enjoys traveling internationally, indulging in motorcycle rides, tackling home improvement projects and spending quality time with his family and friends.
