Boise State Leads Mountain West with 21 Selections on Athlon Sports Preseason All-MW Teams

BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Athlon Sports announced its preseason All-Mountain West selections today ahead of the upcoming football season, with the Boise State Broncos leading the way.

Boise State, the defending Mountain West Champions, had 21 players selected for the preseason teams, leading the conference.

The Broncos had seven first-team members which also led the conference.

Colorado State (17) and UNLV (17) followed with the second-greatest selections.

Ashton Jeanty (RB), Kage Casey (OL), Ahmed Hassanein (DE), Andrew Simpson (LB), A’Marion McCoy (CB), Jonah Dalmas (K), and James Ferguson-Reynolds (P) were the Broncos that received first-team honors.

Seyi Oladipo (S) was named the lone second team member.

Latrell Caples (WR), Ben Dooley (OL), Mason Randolph (OL), Herbert Gums (DL), Braxton Fely (DL), Marco Notarainni (LB) and Alexander Teubner were third team members. The fourth team members included Malachi Nelson (QB), Jambres Dubar (RB), Chris Marshall (WR), Roger Carreon (OL), Jayden Virgin-Morgan (DL) and Ty Benefield (S).

The Broncos kick off its season on the road against Georgia Southern on Aug. 31.
