Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life official after-parties: Here’s what to know
The Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life music festivals are expanding this year beyond the gates of the Highland Festival Grounds, 937 Phillips Lane.
Late-night after-parties, kick-off dinners, additional concerts held in local venues, and a 5K run will make up the festival’s expanded entertainment offerings.
“With record crowds expected this year at Bourbon & Beyond and the 10th anniversary of Louder Than Life, we are so excited to partner with the city to expand our entertainment options leading up to and throughout the week for both festivals,” Chamie McCurry, general manager of Danny Wimmer Presents, told the Courier Journal.

Bourbon & Beyond 2024 after-parties and events
When is the Bourbon & Beyond Kickoff Dinner?
An exclusive Bourbon & Beyond kickoff dinner will be held at the Beam Stilling Company’s The Kitchen Table Restaurant, 522 Happy Hollow Road Clermont, Kentucky on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. The ticketed event will include the latest releases from the James B. Beam Distilling Co., plus Beam-inspired fare, unique cocktails, and an opportunity to purchase the hardest-to-find bourbons.

When is the Official Bourbon & Beyond After-Party?
Just steps away from the festival grounds, dance into the early morning at The Crowne Plaza with Louisville DJ K-Dogg. The nightly after-parties are Sept. 19-22 in the Main Ballroom at Crowne Plaza, 830 Phillips Lane, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Cash bar and food are available each night. Must be 21 years of age and up.
COST: Tickets range from $25-$80
What late-night concerts are being held during Bourbon & Beyond?
- Friday, Sept. 20, 11 p.m.: Daniel Nunnelee with Shante T at Zanzabar, 2100 S Preston St. Tickets are $18.
- Saturday, Sept. 21, 11 p.m.: Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe at Headliners Music Hall, 1386 Lexington Road. Tickets are $30.
- Saturday, Sept. 21, 11 p.m.: Bad Nerves with Anemic Royalty at Zanzabar, 2100 S Preston St., Tickets are $17.
When is the Mayor’s Bourbon Brunch and Bluegrass for Bourbon & Beyond?
Enjoy live Bluegrass, Bourbon & Beyond-themed food and drink, contests, giveaways, and shopping during a free event held in the NuLu neighborhood, 800 E. Market St. The neighborhood brunch will be held Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
COST: Free
When is the Mayorthon Bourbon & Beyond 5k?
Lace up your running shoes. Danny Wimmer Presents is partnering with Mayor Craig Greenberg to bring the Bourbon & Beyond 5K to the Kentucky Expo Center, 937 Phillips Lane. The event will kick off at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 with music, light snacks, and refreshments. The course goes through the Kentucky Exposition Center grounds and Kentucky Kingdom where runners get to enjoy live music throughout the course.

Louder Than Life 2024 after-parties and events
When is the official Louder Than Life After-Party?
Keep the party going at The Crowne Plaza, 830 Phillips Lane each night of the festival. Revelers can dance into the early morning with Louder Than Life’s official DJ, DJ ODESKI. On Thursday and Saturday, partygoers can take part in Full-Contact Karaoke featuring live band karaoke. The After-Party events are held Sept. 26-29 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Cash bar and food are available each night. Must be 21 years of age and up.

- Saturday, Sept. 28, 8 p.m.: Holy Blade, Two Witnesses, E-Town Concrete, Pain of Truth at Portal, 1535 Lytle St. Tickets cost $30
- Sunday, Sept. 29, 8 p.m.: Drug Church, ’97 Flood, Narrow Head at Portal, 1535 Lytle St. Tickets cost $30
When is the Mayor’s Bourbon Brunch and Bluegrass for Louder Than Life?
Enjoy live bluegrass, Louder Than Life-themed food and drink, contests, giveaways, and shopping on Saturday, Sept. 28 starting at 11 a.m. The brunch event is free and held in Germantown, 1000 Goss Ave.
COST: Free
