Bourbon & Beyond has record-breaking weekend

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The 2024 Bourbon & Beyond was one for the record books — breaking records for total attendance and highest single-day attendance.

What You Need To Know

  • Bourbon & Beyond set records this year for fan attendance
  • According to organizers, 210,000 guests attended the four-day festival
  • The single-day attendance record was shattered, with 60,000 people showing up Saturday
  • Organizers expect over 400,000 guests to come between Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life, which is Sept. 26-29 on the same site.

According to organizers, 210,000 music and bourbon fans blanketed the Highland Festival Grounds to hear major acts like Sting, Dave Matthews Band, My Morning Jacket and Tyler Childers. The single-day attendance record was shattered on Saturday, with 60,000 fans showing up for Zach Bryan’s headlining day. Organizers say it’s the largest music festival in Kentucky history.

This year’s Bourbon & Beyond was held from Sept. 19-22 and featured a lineup of over 100 artists on five music stages, culinary and spirits demonstrations and much more.

Organizers expect the festival boom to continue as they transition to Louder Than Life, the heavy metal music festival also put on by Danny Wimmer Presents, that will be Sept. 26-29 on the same site. Over 400,000 fans are expected between the two weekends.

Last year, Louisville Tourism reported that both festivals generated $30 million economic impact throughout the area.
