Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 movie drops first poster and title
Brad Pitt hits the track in the first poster for his upcoming Formula 1 movie.
Apple, the studio behind the wheel of the film from Joseph Kosinski, also confirmed the title: F1, in theaters June 27, 2025. Pitt stars as a former driver who makes a comeback at Formula 1. Damson Idris stars as his teammate of the fictional team APXGP.
Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo round out the cast of the action drama, which was filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends alongside real-life titans of the sport. The poster features a suited up Pitt with his helmet on.

Made in collaboration with the Formula 1 community, F1 also counts Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, and seven-time F1 champ Lewis Hamilton as producers.
Pitt and Idris were previously spotted at the British Grand Prix last July to film scenes for the upcoming movie, where they posed for photos with F1 champion Max Verstappen and racer Carlos Sainz. Speaking with Sky News at the time, Pitt divulged some details about the film, sharing that his character competed in the 1990s but experienced a “horrible crash” and “craps out and disappears.”
Bardem, he added, plays a team owner overseeing a last-place team. “They’re 21-22 on the grid, they’ve never scored a point, but they have a young phenom, played by Damson Idris, and they bring me in as kind of a Hail Mary and high jinks ensue,” Pitt said.
“You’ve never seen just the G-forces like this,” he teased of the high-speed driving to come. “It’s really, really exciting.”
