BREAKING: Heisman hopeful quarterback Bryson Daily out today for No. 21 Army vs. Air Force

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Quarterback Bryson Daily is not available for No. 21 Army today vs. Air Force, it was announced this morning.

Daily, a fringe Heisman Trophy candidate, has already set a Black Knights record for single season rushing touchdowns (19) this season, leading the nation in that category. He also has seven touchdown passes without an interception, leading a program that has won 11 consecutive games – most in the nation.

Junior Dewayne Coleman will make his first start in Daily’s place for Army, which was favored by 23 points against the Falcons (1-6).

No reason was specified for Daily’s absence beyond noting it was related to injury/illness.

Air Force has started three quarterbacks in the past three games because of injuries and effectiveness and suddenly has the experience advantage at quarterback in this service academy matchup that kicks off at 10 a.m. MT.

This is Army’s first home game as a ranked team since 1958.
