Bret Michaels makes heartbreaking announcement ahead of show
Bret Michaels took to social media Saturday with a heartbreaking announcement ahead of his show in New York.
“Tonight, our entire show is dedicated to the sudden loss of our good friend Junior, the husband of our Production Manager, CEO and lifelong friend Janna Purkey Elias, and their incredible daughter Kendall, our production assistant,” Michaels wrote on Facebook. “Today, our hearts and souls bleed for our beloved Janna and her daughter Kendall. Their father, a longtime friend and one of the best production managers in the business, passed suddenly in Brazil.
“I was on the phone when she got the news and will forever feel her and her daughter’s pain,” he added. “And a day before Janna’s birthday — life is bittersweet and, sometimes, absolutely beyond tough and beyond words. My heart, my prayers, my condolences to you both. You are forever loved and family. Anything we can do, let us all know. You have a lot of people that love you — family, friends, and fans.”
Fans were quick to respond by sending condolences and prayers to the family.
Michaels, who went to Mechanicsburg High School, was set to perform at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York on Saturday.
