Broadway’s Wolfe headlines Le Petit’s Curtain Call Ball
Broadway veteran and Tony nominee Betsy Wolfe will headline the entertainment in September for the Curtain Call Ball, Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Carré’s annual fundraising gala.
The French Quarter affair helps generate funds for the artistic and educational program of one of the oldest community theaters in the country. Last year’s event helped provide free tickets for more than 2,000 local students. It also helped spur the new Le Petit Teen Council and the return of the Young Conservatory and Workforce Development programs.
In addition to performances from Wolfe’s cabaret show, which she will stage fully the following night, the Sept. 6 ball will include live and silent auctions of art, jewelry and experiences.
Wolfe was nominated for her role of Anne Hathaway in the jukebox-Shakespeare mashup “& Juliet” and has also appeared on Broadway in “Waitress,” “Falsettos” and “Bullets Over Broadway.”
Stephanie November is chairing the local event, with Grace Hoefer and Henry Heaton as Young Committee co-chairs. Mark Romig will be the auctioneer. Tableau Restaurant will provide cuisine and craft cocktails.
Tickets for the event start at $150 for those under 40 and $250 for general admission. For more information, visit lepetittheatre.com.
