The Cleveland Browns stopped falling in the rankings with a bye week. The Browns started the season horrendously, winning two games in nine weeks. They rank near the bottom of the league in most metrics. The Browns needed a break to regroup and focus on the back half of their season.
The team returned to practice this week. The Browns have eight games left to finish their season. They have not yet been eliminated from playoff contention. Seven of their last eight games are against AFC teams in the playoff race. If the Browns lose another game, they are likely out of the playoffs.
The past week was a good opportunity for the organization to reflect on what they’re playing for. The team needs to find a reason to play for each other and the city, whether for season-end accolades, future contracts, or a future together. The Browns must be motivated to win after a grueling, taxing season. The Browns can only go upward as the Data Dump shows us this week.
