SMITHS GROVE, Ky. (WBKO) – The well-known travel center Buc-ee’s is set to open its second Kentucky location in Smiths Grove later this month.

The travel center, located at 4001 Smiths Grove-Scottsville Road, will open its doors to the public on Monday, June 24 at 6 a.m. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will follow at noon.

The Buc-ee’s occupies a total of 53,000 square feet and offers 120 fueling positions, according to a press release. Thousands of food, drink and snack options will be available as well.

Buc-ee’s is notorious for their award-winning clean bathrooms and has been in business for over 40 years.

We are so excited to celebrate the grand opening of our latest travel center on this beautiful stretch of I-65 between Nashville and Louisville,” Stan Beard of Buc-ee’s said. “Smiths Grove may be small, but the community has welcomed us with as much love and enthusiasm as our largest cities, so we’re excited to be here and watch this partnership grow.”

Local leaders attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony include Rocky Adkins, senior advisor to Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, U.S. Senator Rand Paul, Smiths Grove Mayor David Stiffey, Smiths Grove city commissioners; Warren County Judge-Executive Doug Gorman, and former Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon.
