Buffalo Bills WR Keon Coleman launches new charity

On Friday, it was announced that Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman has officially launched a new charity. Named the Keon Coleman Family Foundation, its motto as stated on their website is “Empowering youth today for a brighter, more prosperous tomorrow.”

Growing up in Opelousas, LA, opportunities were limited for kids like Keon. However, through endurance and hard work, Coleman was able to rise above any constraints and adversities and, in 2024, he was drafted to the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. From his site, Keon “believes that youth across the country possess untapped potential — abilities and strengths that, with the right encouragement, can lead to extraordinary growth.” Coleman’s goal with his new foundation is to “inspire, educate and uplift the next generation.”

Keon Coleman’s first order of business with his foundation is sponsoring their First Annual Coat Giveaway. Most Bills fans remember this clip from back in April when Coleman was first drafted, where he spoke to the media about purchasing his coats from Macy’s two seasons ahead of time to take advantage of their sales prices:

Now, Coleman gets to give back to his community by providing 100 brand new winter coats to children from the Buffalo Boys & Girls Club who are in need. The foundation states that their goal is to “make sure no child has to face the winter chill without the essential protection of a warm coat.” You can donate to his coat drive right from his foundation’s site, where it asks visitors to “Help us keep bodies and hearts warm this winter!”

While you’re there, make sure to keep up to date with the latest from the Keon Coleman Family Foundation by signing up for their newsletter. We are excited to see how it evolves and the positive changes it makes for our community!
