In its last earnings report, Burberry’s retail revenue for Q1 declined 22% year over year, mirroring similar results at some of its luxury peers including Lanvin and Ferragamo. Some luxury brands however, including Prada, have bucked this trend and seen growth.

Burberry expects to report a H1 operating loss and operating profit “below current consensus.”

In Tuesday’s release, Schulman said he was pleased to welcome the new leaders to Burberry.

“Jonathan has a wealth of experience in rejuvenating brands and building digital-savvy marketing organisations,” Schulman said in the release. “I look forward to working closely with him to enhance our marketing capabilities and strengthen the Burberry brand. Laura is a results-driven and dynamic leader with demonstrated success in building and developing winning teams. I am delighted to be working with her to grow our business in the Americas.”
