Ahead of the holiday shopping season, Burlington Stores is kicking off an effort to fill thousands of jobs at its retail locations and distribution centers nationwide.

In a Sept. 10 press release, the South Jersey-headquartered off-price retailer said it is looking to hire for a range of positions, including:

  • 1,500 full-time seasonal warehouse associates for first, second and weekend shifts
  • 23,000 part-time seasonal roles at stores, such as cashier associates, retail sales associates and retail stocking associates

In addition to competitive hourly wages with flexible shifts, Burlington offers associate discounts, opportunities for internal advancement and employee recognition initiatives. The company noted that seasonal roles have the opportunity to turn into longer-term careers, too.

Jason Wilcox, senior vice president of human resources, commented, “We’re thrilled to expand our nationwide hiring efforts as we seek to bring on talented individuals who will thrive in our dynamic and award-winning culture.”

“We’re looking for associates from all backgrounds and skill sets to join our growing team. If you’re eager to advance your career in an inclusive, diverse and supportive environment, Burlington is the place for you. Our associates are the heart of our success and we’re proud to foster a collaborative team that consistently delivers exceptional customer service,” he added.

Upcoming hiring fairs

According to Burlington, hiring events will be held Sept. 24-25 and Oct. 29-30 and continue through December. Candidates can search and apply for positions online at BurlingtonStores.jobs.

The company noted that its corporate offices in Burlington and merchandise buying offices in New York City and Los Angeles are also seeking qualified candidates for a variety of positions.

Formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, the chain sells branded apparel, footwear, accessories and home goods at discounted prices. It has more than 1,021 stores throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
