BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Burrillville Town Council opted not to renew the entertainment license of the famed “The Conjuring” house during a Monday night meeting.

The house, located at 1677 Round Top Rd, is operated by Jacqueline Nuñez under the name of Bale Fire, LLC.

The new license would have run from December 1, 2024 through November 30, 2025.

The council cited multiple reasons for denying the license, including a workman’s compensation insurance issue, as well as “police approvals and fire marshal problems.”

The decision to deny the license was unanimous.

The house became a popular tourist attraction as basis for the home in the successful “The Conjuring” movie franchise.
