Business Cycle: Crews grade Christiansburg field for development

Published

on

Heavy equipment shapes a field along Peppers Ferry Road where crews will construct town homes, apartments and commercial units.

Specific names of restaurants, retail and office tenants expected to move in at Clifton Town Center were not available. Stateson Homes, a builder involved in the project, did not respond to requests for information.

Developers proposed the project back in 2019, winning a 6-0 vote of support from the local planning commission and later full approval from the town council.

A drawing dated 2019 and provided by the town Tuesday depicts 14 commercial buildings, including a hotel with a pool; two apartment buildings with a clubhouse and pool; and rows of town homes.
