Business showcase on tap
“Growing Sequim Strong,” the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 16th0annual Business Showcase, is scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday,Oct. 8, at the Sunland Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Dr.
The event is a public exhibition demonstrating products and services that local businesses and organizations have to offer. The event is free and public is invited.
The showcase features fun, food and drinks, show-and-tell, games and more, organizers say.

Camp N Car hosting third open house
Camp N Car, founded and owned by Steve Moore and Martin Nerbovig of Sequim, is hosting an open house from noon-5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 13 Workman St. Suite C, Port Townsend.
The free event will showcase many of the company’s campervan conversions and is an opportunity for travel enthusiasts to meet and mingle in the community, owners said.

Cindy and Alan Turner have announced that they are listing Port Book and News for sale.
The store is located at 104 E. First St.; just two blocks from the Black Ball ferry terminal.
The book store has been an installation in downtown Port Angeles for 38 years and has been named “Best Place to Buy a Book” in Clallam County for 25 of the 27 years that the Peninsula Daily News has conducted its Best of the Peninsula listings.
The store has a curated collection of more than 30,000 books and a rotating selection of gifts, socks, games, educational materials, jigsaw puzzles, animal plush, art supplies and free dog treats for every canine who brings their assistant into the store.

Fair seeks vendor for beer garden
The Clallam County Fair is looking for a 2025 beer garden vendor. The beer garden vendor concession service must be a nonprofit.
The beer garden serves the entire fair grounds; it is located near the rodeo arena. It is open one hour before the start of the rodeo and ending one hour after completion of the rodeo.
Deadline is Oct. 31, 2025. Information will be sent to nonprofits applying after contacting Laurie Davies at laurieanndavies@aol.com.
