The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) will host a “Situational Leadership Bootcamp – Adapting Your Style for Success,” 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Center for Business Excellence, 49 Commerce Dr., Wyomissing. This one-day, intensive leadership development program is for employees looking to develop the next level of leadership skills — situational leadership. Attendees will be able to immediately apply the tools, techniques, and concepts to meet the unique needs of their team and the demands of any situation. Berks LaunchBox presents “Learn to Design Professional Special Media Graphics,” 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., virtually via Zoom. In this SCORE partner online workshop, attendees will be shown how to create professional images using Canva.com, a free and easy to use graphic design tool. The focus of the session will be on showing attendees how to use the tool. The session will be led by Stephanie Sokenis, a small business consultant and certified entrepreneur center manage. The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) will host its “Annual Picnic and Berks Biz Home Run Derby,” 4:30 to 8 p.m., First Energy Stadium, 1900 Centre Ave., Reading. The Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC) will host “AMT 101: Automation Manufacturing Technology,” 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Manufacturers Resource Center, 7200A Windsor Dr., Allentown. This course focuses on the strategic aspects of automation adoption in manufacturing, emphasizing benefits, ROI analysis, and project development. Designed for manufacturers with varying levels of automation experience, this course provides a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively leverage automation to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost. Rescheduled — The Schmidt Training and Technology Center at RACC will host a skill-building workshop with clear, relatable tools for supervisors/team leads entitled “The Highly Productive Leader” workshop, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two additional sessions will be held on Wednesday Oct. 2 and Wednesday Oct. 9. The sessions will cover: Awareness of clear communication and team building; Empowerment of leading as a coach and performance management techniques; and Confidence of communicating with difficult people, managing conflict, handling stress in the workplace, time management and goal setting.
