C4 Athletic Club aims to bring sports and fun activities to Greenwood

Greenwood, Texas (KOSA) -Greenwood residents have a lot to look forward to..with upgrades to greenwood isd, changes in its calendar years, a new sports facility would fit in perfectly.

The C4 Athletic Club has blue prints and is expected to become one of the areas newest attractions for athletes and people to enjoy.

Soon Greenwood residents can expect a 112,000 square foot facility will have multiple sports for people of all ages.

“This is huge for our community, even here in Greenwood, we don’t have much room or space for the kids to do all the sports or be active. Greenwood is limited and I know this will help the Permian Basin as well.” said Lauren Flowers, Vice President at C4 Impact Initiative.

The C4 Athletic Club is run by the C4 Impact Initiative, which is a non-profit in Greenwood that looks to make a positive change in the community.

Some of the sports that will be playable at the athletic club, include football, soccer, pickleball, basketball, volleyball and it’ll also have batting cages.

With the population in Greenwood increasing every year, Becky Cox the owner of the facility, decided that she wanted to make a difference. By building something that everyone in Greenwood can enjoy for years to come and also beat the many weather conditions athletes face in West Texas.
