Can’t make it to Paris Fashion Week? Here’s one way to experience French culture in Honolulu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Members of the French community in Honolulu are hosting its annual French Fashion, Food and Wine Event to celebrate French culture in time to cap off Paris Fashion Week.

On Oct. 4, Alliance Francaise of Hawaii is blending the elegance of Paris with the aloha spirit of Honolulu at the Pacific Club, for a night of wine and delicacies from various regions of France, curated by celebrity chef Eric Leterc.

Guests will also enjoy a formal runway show featuring the latest in luxurious French fashion and a pop-up French market.

“The Alliance Française of Hawaii (AFH) is part of an international organization whose mission is to promote the French language and francophone cultures. There are 834 AF chapters in 138 countries with over 100 chapters in the United States, making it the largest AF network in the world,” said Hawaii chapter president Theresa Maman. “Our mission is to provide authentic French educational and cultural programs, and to foster intellectual, cultural, and artistic exchanges with the French-speaking world and our local community in the Hawaiian Islands.”

Maman and Chef Leterc joined HNN’s Sunrise to talk about the event and showcase his simple but elegant Lyonnaise salad.

The French Fashion, Food and Wine Event takes place on Oct. 4, from 5:30-9 p.m. For tickets, click here.
