The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has introduced a new Caribbean Travel Specialist Program that aims to strengthen connections between travel advisors and Caribbean tourism providers.
Launched November 12, the program establishes partnerships with two travel trade platforms: TaConnect, which will focus on North American travel advisors, and My Booking Rewards (MBR), which will serve the UK and European markets.
“The Certified Caribbean Travel Specialist Program reflects our commitment to providing travel advisors with the tools and resources they need to confidently promote the Caribbean as a premier destination to their clients,” said Nicola Madden-Greig, president of CHTA. “Each destination is diverse and unique, with its own distinct personality, culture, cuisine, and authentic experiences. Having the knowledge and expertise to sell not only one but also multi-destination travel is integral.”
Travel advisors participating in the program will receive access to fam trips, invitations to Caribbean Travel Marketplace and rewards for bookings logged through My Booking Rewards.

The My Booking Rewards platform maintains a network of 64,000 agents across Europe, Latin America and North America, and will provide training modules, webinars, and resource materials.
“We are delighted to be supporting the CHTA to engage more agents in their chosen markets,” said Darren Pearson, founder and CEO of My Booking Rewards. “Our agile technology and the engaged database will help them to reach more active booking agents, building meaningful relationships through education and incentivization.”
