Caught on Camera: Pink bike theft at Midtown business
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Red Beard’s Outfitters — is a Midtown favorite for all things adventure and outdoors. From t-shirts to hiking gear — they have all sorts of items.
According to Mobile Police — it was nearly two weeks ago — October 30th around 3:07 p.m. when a man walked into the store inquiring about work boots. MPD says after learning the store doesn’t carry what he was looking for — he left.
Store surveillance video shows him exiting the store on the front porch and hopping on a pink retro bike outfront and riding off. However, investigators say the bike was not his — instead a storefront display.
The store clearly has a great surveillance system, which MPD hopes by releasing will help them identify the suspect.
Whether he knew it or not — he was being recorded — even turning towards the camera. He was wearing a black t-shirt and shorts. The t-shirt appears to have the word “SELF” written on the back in gold.
Maybe you saw him on that pink bike — he would not have been hard to miss. If you know recognize the suspect call Mobile Police 251-208-7211.
