CBS Sports Network to air 20 additional Big 12 basketball games per year

CBS Sports and the Big 12 have expanded their partnership by “adding 20 basketball games per year to CBS Sports Network,” according to Kyle Boone of CBSSPORTS.com. The new agreement, a multiyear deal running through the 2026-27 season, is a “sublicense agreement with ESPN.” CBS Sports already broadcasts a minimum of six Big 12 men’s college basketball games annually on CBS, all of which are also streamed live on Paramount+. The new deal will “strengthen CBS Sports’ standing in the sport and serve as an amplifier for a minimum of 26 games each season from the Big 12.” Approximately 300 regular season games “will be shown across CBS, CBS Sports Network and Paramount+,” including “15 automatic bids to the NCAA men’s and women’s tournaments” (CBSSPORTS.com, 9/23).
