The FACEs of Fashion event will feature a star-studded lineup, including a runway show, reception, and visual performances that celebrate both local and national designers. Hosted by industry veterans Derek Blanks, renowned director and photographer, and Toccara Jones, the supermodel and television personality, the evening will provide a platform for fashion enthusiasts and creatives alike to connect and be inspired.
Designers such as Avnah Collection, Afreen Khundmir, Threads by Tre, Kailynn Washington, Olivia Reuter, Aakofii, and the Miguel Wilson Collection will showcase their latest collections, blending innovation with cultural artistry. But the night won’t just focus on fashion—it will also honor key figures who have significantly impacted Atlanta’s vibrant fashion and entertainment scenes, including Angela Watts, Jim Alexander, Munson Steed, Randy Davidson, and iconic musician and entertainer, CeeLo Green.
Proceeds from the event will support educational and art programs for students throughout Fulton County, reinforcing the community’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists and fashion designers. “Fulton County understands the importance of not only supporting the arts but recognizing its economic impact on our community,” said Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robb Pitts. “Through FACE and the work of Arts & Culture, residents will connect with fashion industry experts who can showcase the tangible benefits of fashion, art, and education.”
The FACE 2024 Experience, a 20-day celebration of cultural art and fashion, will run from September 24 to October 20, offering a series of fashion-forward events at various venues across South and North Fulton County. Fulton County Arts & Culture Director David Manuel shared his excitement for the ongoing initiative, stating, “This is our third year, and we are thrilled to continue inspiring art lovers and future generations in these artistic areas.”
The event is produced by Michelle Lynch of Posh Productions, alongside the legendary Dwight Eubanks, ensuring that FACEs of Fashion: “A Celestial Experience” will be an unforgettable evening. Additionally, Fulton County Arts & Culture will partner with organizations like the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, Clark Atlanta University, SCAD, and Puma to create culturally enriching experiences that build bridges between the art and fashion communities.
