Chadwick Boseman, Bill Anderson to be inducted into SC Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame

Thirteen native artists, including actor Chadwick Boseman, country singer Josh Turner, and more, will be inducted into the South Carolina Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25 in the McAlister Auditorium at Furman University.

Tickets, ranging from $24 to $124, are still available for the event at 3300 Poinsett Highway, which will host a red-carpet walk for its honorees at 5 p.m., followed by the induction ceremony and live performances from statewide musical favorites.

“I can’t think of anywhere else in this state you can see this many celebrities, entertainers, and musicians in one space,” said Roy Costner, chairman of the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame. “Some of our guests are expecting people from Chicago and all across the country to fly into Greenville for this show.”

What is the South Carolina Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame?

The South Carolina Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization that has existed since 1989 to commemorate the native artists who have made local, regional, national, and worldwide contributions.

Through events and showcases, the Hall of Fame was designed to honor those who have culturally and creatively accomplished works of merit and helped shape each industry; before the April 25 event, there were more than 70 members in the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame including household names: Chris Rock (comedy), Vanna White (Wheel of Fortune), and Hootie & The Blowfish (country music group).

Garth Brooks, George Straight, and Billy Ray Cyrus are among the additional 13 honorary members.
