Chase Travel Offer: Earn Up to 20K Bonus Points (& Get $100 Back)
Got a card like the *chase sapphire preferred* or the *chase sapphire reserve* in your wallet? You might be eligible for bonus points, cash back, or both!
Chase is targeting some customers with the opportunity to earn up to 20,000 bonus points when booking a trip through Chase Travel℠. These bonus offers have been sent out to both personal and small business cardholders.
What’s more, you might be able to stack this bonus with a Chase Offer for additional cash back on your booking! While not typically as lucrative as Amex Offers, Chase Offers provide cardholders with a statement credit for shopping with select merchants. Right now, we’re seeing offers of $50 and $100 back on Chase Travel bookings. Scoring 20,000 bonus points and getting $100 back could make for some really inexpensive travel.
It’s important to note that not everyone will be targeted for these offers – but many Chase cardholders are receiving emails letting them know they’re eligible. If you haven’t received an email yet – or maybe your alert is tucked away in a spam folder – you can use this link to check for yourself. Just enter your last name, zip code, and the last four digits of your card to see if you qualify.
So far, we’ve seen a couple different variations of this offer. The better of the two allows Chase cardholders to earn 20,000 bonus points when purchasing a hotel stay through Chase Travel – or 10,000 bonus points when purchasing flights, car rentals, cruises, or activities and tours.
Your booking needs to be at least $500 in order to qualify for either offer and critically, you’ll only be eligible for this offer if you haven’t made a Chase Travel booking since August 15, 2022.
Alternatively, you may be targeted for a 10,000-point offer when booking a hotel stay of $400 or more. This one doesn’t have the stipulation about any Chase Travel bookings in the previous two years.
With either offer, you have until Jan. 31, 2025, to make your booking … but that doesn’t mean you need to travel by then. So long as you travel by Aug. 31, 2025, you’ll qualify for the bonus points.
Finally, to earn a bonus, you will need to make a single transaction with a total cost that meets the minimum spending requirement. This means you can’t make two separate $250 hotel bookings to qualify.
To check if you have a Chase Offer for additional cash back, login to your Chase account and navigate down to Chase Offers on the right side. Here, you may find an offer for $50 or $100 cash back after spending at least $500 with Chase Travel.
This offer expires on Oct. 31, 2024 – so even though you have until the end of January to make a reservation for the bonus points, you’ll want to do it sooner than later if you plan to stack it with a Chase Offer. If you see something similar in your account, be sure to add it to your card before it disappears!
But the fun doesn’t end there. Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders who haven’t spent their $50 hotel credit yet this year can get an additional kick back.
This means if you’re targeted for bonus points, the $100 Chase Travel offer, and you haven’t use your Sapphire Preferred hotel credit, you’ll only need to spend $350 out of pocket to earn a 20,000-point bonus and get a $500 hotel stay.
Those 20,000 points are worth at least $250 when redeemed through Chase Travel, or much more when transferred to one of Chase’s slew of travel partners. So while it’s probably not worth booking a hotel stay just for the points, it can make for some deeply discounted travel.
What Cards Are Eligible?
You’ll primarily find these offers on Chase’s Freedom and Sapphire cards, as well as the Ink Business card portfolio are eligible to earn up to 20,000 Chase points. While not a comprehensive list, here are some of the cards we’re seeing targeted:
As for the $100 Chase Travel statement credit, you’ll just to need to check your Chase Offers to see if you’re eligible for additional cash back.
Bottom Line
Select Chase cardholders are being targeted for offers to earn up to 20,000 bonus points when making a Chase Travel booking. You might even be able to stack this deal further with up to $100 back from a Chase Offer and an additional $50 back, thanks to the Sapphire Preferred’s annual hotel credit.
If you’ve got a Chase card in your wallet, don’t sleep on these offers.
