Let’s take a look at some photos from the 2024 high school spring sports season from our Marshfield-area teams.

MARSHFIELD – The high school spring sports season has come to an end. For some central Wisconsin athletes, the end results were playoff runs, sectional victories and trips to state. For others, it meant hard-fought games, new personal records and memories that will last a lifetime.

As the final state tournament of the 2023-24 academic year has come to an end, let’s take a look back at the spring sports season and some of our photos from Marshfield-area teams.

Marshfield vs. Wausau East Girls Soccer

The Marshfield Tigers girls soccer team played the Wausau East Lumberjacks April 11 at Wausau East High School. The Tigers won the game 7-0. Marshfield finished the 2024 Wisconsin Valley Conference season with a record of 3 wins, 3 losses and 3 ties, and Wausau East had a record of 2 wins and 6 losses.

Marshfield vs. Wausau West Baseball

The Marshfield Tigers baseball team played the Wausau West Warriors April 18 at Marshfield High School. The Tigers won the game 6-3 after they scored three runs in the 11th inning. Marshfield and Wausau West each finished the 2024 Wisconsin Valley Conference season with a record of 4 wins and 8 losses.

Marshfield vs. D.C. Everest Softball

The Marshfield Tigers softball team played the D.C. Everest Evergreens April 23 at D.C. Everest High School. The Tigers lost the game 0-1. Marshfield finished the 2024 Wisconsin Valley Conference season with a record of 6 wins and 6 losses, and D.C. Everest had a record of 10 wins and 2 losses.

SPASH Panthers Invite

Track and field athletes from across central Wisconsin competed in the SPASH Panthers Invite on April 25 at Goerke Field in Stevens Point. Participating schools included Marshfield High School, Stevens Point Area Senior High, D.C. Everest, Marathon High School, Rosholt High School and Wausau East High School.

Marshfield vs. Wausau East Softball

The Marshfield Tigers softball team played the Wausau East Lumberjacks May 17 at Wausau East High School. The Tigers won the game 13-3. Marshfield finished the 2024 Wisconsin Valley Conference season with a record of 6 wins and 6 losses, and Wausau East had a record of 0 wins and 12 losses.

Wisconsin Valley Conference Track and Field Meet

Athletes from across central Wisconsin competed in the Wisconsin Valley Conference Track and Field Meet May 14 at Wausau West High School. Participating schools included Marshfield High School, Wausau West High School, Stevens Point Area Senior High, D.C. Everest High School, Wausau East High School, Merrill High School and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School. The Marshfield boys team finished fifth in the meet, and the girls team came in third.

State Track & Field Championships

The top track and field competitors from across the state competed in the WIAA State Track & Field Championships May 31 and June 1 at Veterans Memorial Stadium Complex in La Crosse.
