Luckiest Louisiana spots
Louisiana is known for letting the good times roll, and any slot machine player knows it takes luck to win big. A study conducted by Casinos.com analyzed Louisiana casinos to see which are the luckiest.
Casinos.com used Tripadvisor reviews to analyze phrases associated with luck and calculated the percentage of luck-rated mentions in the total Tripadvisor reviews to calculate the percentage for each casino, the study said. At the top of the list was Delta Downs Racetrack and Casino in Vinton, which had a luck percentage of 26.45%.

New eateries in Acadiana
Lafayette continues to expand, with several new business and restaurants opening around town. Check out these new restaurants to enjoy brunch, lunch, or a cocktail in Lafayette Parish.
One of these businesses include CAVA, a Mediterranean restaurant. The opening is expected to come soon to 4220 Ambassador Caffery, Developing Lafayette’s website said. CAVA offers a selection of customizable bowls, salads and pita sandwiches inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean region.

Pride Month celebrations
June is Pride Month, celebrating the history of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) community.
Acadiana Queen Collective-Pride Acadiana, a community in Lafayette and the surrounding area that connects and support the Acadiana LGBTQ+ community, will celebrate with parades, movie showcases, festivals and a health and wellness expo.

‘Everybody’s Favorite Twins’
A set of Houma twins who appeared on national television will release a book about the Louisiana foster care system and dedicate their time to helping other foster children.
Sherry and Cherry Wilmore are activists best known for their social media identities, Everybody’s Favorite Twins. The two were guests on the Jennifer Hudson Show, and now they have given back to the foster system where they spent twelve years moving from Lake Charles to Houma. The twins are expected to publish a book about their experiences.
