Check your flights: Hurricane Helene disrupts travel, including at Logan

Authorities said to expect cancelations and delays as Hurricane Helene hits southwest states.

Boston Logan International Airport is warning travelers to double check their flights as Hurricane Helene barrels through parts of the country.

“Due to weather impacts in the Southeast caused by Hurricane Helene, we encourage passengers to check with their airline before coming to the airport,” a social media post from Logan said on Wednesday. 

It is unclear how many flights in and out of Logan have been canceled or delayed due to Hurricane Helene. WCVB reported the number is around 200. A representative for Logan did not immediately respond to a request for comment. 

Several major airlines, including Delta, Jet Blue, and American Airlines, have listed travel notices to warn passengers their flights may be delayed or canceled. Hurricane Helene is likely to hit Florida Thursday night, weather reports show. The category 4 storm is predicted to barrel through Florida and much of Georgia before petering out in parts of Tennessee and Kentucky.
