Chick-fil-A to launch family entertainment app
Chick-fil-A Play will offer family-friendly original content.
The upcoming mobile app from Chick-fil-A will focus on providing content for parents and kids, rather than selling crispy chicken sandwiches.
Chick-fil-A is introducing a new app called “Chick-fil-A Play,” which the quick service restaurant chain says is “designed for parents and kids to share and experience together whether they’re enjoying a meal at home, in the drive-thru, or anywhere in-between.”
Officially rolling out Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, the free iOS and Android app will be loaded with a variety of content and original entertainment, including:
- Original animated shows, such as the fantasy adventure “Evergreen Hills” (see video) and shorts featuring the animated Chick-fil-A cow mascots, designed in landscape format to be watched together on a TV or through a tablet.
- Kid-friendly scripted original podcasts.
- Video-based recipes and kid-friendly crafts.
- Family-friendly e-books and interactive stories.
According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Restaurant and Food Delivery Study 2024, Chick-fil-A’s ACSI score dropped 2% to 83, it continues to lead the fast-food industry. The company’s long-term success is reflected in revenue: Chick-fil-A’s non-mall locations averaged $9.4 million revenue in 2023. That’s more than double that of McDonald’s while being open one day less per week (Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays).
