Chomp into these Apple Labor Day sales — like a best-ever iPad deal and 0 off a MacBook Air

Unofficially, today, Labor Day, marks the end of summer. Very officially, however, Amazon has cut prices on AirTags, iPads, Apple Watches and more, some down to Prime Day levels. In fact, there’s one historic low: The 9th-generation iPad for just $199. That price has been available for a few days now, but as the holiday weekend starts, it’s still hovering there — and just as importantly, it’s not out of stock.

Also noteworthy: MacBooks are up to $300 off — deep discounts for the coveted laptops. And if you’re a student, you might be able to save even more through Apple’s Back to School program.

What do all these deals mean in light of Apple’s upcoming product launch event on Sept. 9? While you may be tempted to wait for new AirPods, Apple Watches and the like, keep in mind it’s likely to be a while before those new items see any sale pricing.

If you want to make the most out of Labor Day sales beyond tech, we’ve put together a list of the best Labor Day deals from heavy-hitters like KitchenAid, Skechers, Vitamix and many more.

This iPad might be a few years old, but it offers one of the best value propositions of any tablet on the market. If you prefer smaller devices to outsized displays, the Mini is the right pick for you. At only 8.3 inches wide, you can easily hold it in one hand. And did we mention this is the lowest price we’ve ever seen? This iPad has never been this affordable before.

“I never realized how much I needed an iPad until I got this. The Mini is so cute and it fits in my medium size purse. There’s nothing it can’t do that the newer or bigger ones can’t. Easy to travel with. Easy to use and high performance,” wrote one fan.

AirPods Max are Apple’s only over-ear headphones, and they pack a whole lot of style into that package. Sure, they cost a pretty penny, but ahead of Labor Day they’re a cool buck-fifty off. They have all the features you expect from the best noise-cancelling headphones, minus the potential discomfort of in-ear speakers.

“Best headphones ever,” proclaimed one reviewer. “Recently had a root canal done, and didn’t hear a thing (my dentist said that was a first in his experience). They cancel the noise I don’t want to hear and provide superb sound for music I do want to hear.”

Powered by the M2 chip, this MacBook Air is just as lightweight as its newer cousins but is available at a slightly discounted rate. This is as low as we’ve ever seen the MacBook drop, so now is the time to take advantage of those sweet, sweet savings.

One fan had nothing but praise. “18 hours of battery life is not just marketing, the speed of the M2 is snappy and can handle much more than I thought it would. The new screen is gorgeous. Trackpad is the best on the market bar none.”

This laptop is incredibly thin and light, so it’s great for anyone on the go. It has a lot of power despite its small size, and the discount is nothing to sneeze at, either — especially since this marks an all-time low price.

“I am in love with this laptop,” said one reviewer. “[It’s] a complete game changer. I am usually a PC guy but I ended up getting a Mac to change things up. … The M3 chip is also insanely fast and the extra RAM definitely helps me browse more things at once. … Would recommend completely!”

When’s the last time you misplaced something? Me, I spent far too much time looking for my wallet just this morning. AirTags can take away that problem, allowing you to track exactly where your items go when they’re, well, gone. They’re among our picks for the best Bluetooth trackers on the market.

Tons of five-star shoppers have relied on these quarter-sized gizmos to keep track of their stuff — and their pets. “I attached the AirTags to my dogs’ collars, and the peace of mind they’ve provided is priceless,” said one fan. “Whether we’re on a walk, at the park, or just at home, I always know where my pets are. The precision finding feature is a game-changer, especially if one of them decides to play hide-and-seek around the house.”

If price has held you back from picking up an Apple smartwatch, this discount on the Apple Watch SE might be just the push you need to click that buy button. It tracks everything from heart rate to how well you sleep and even includes crash detection. Cool, huh? This price is about $20 above the lowest we’ve ever seen.

“I’ve had this watch for a couple of months and cannot say enough good things!” said one five-star reviewer. “It makes it easy to track workouts and heart rate. Very easy to set up and use, not to mention the battery lasts me two days! Don’t know how I lived without it! Also great for easily seeing my notifications when I’m working from home! Love being able to see work things while moving around my house.”
