Just two games into the College World Series, history has already been made. Christian Moore became only the second player in CWS history to hit for the cycle. He did it in as clean a path as possible. He tripled in his first at-bat, doubled in his second, singled in his third and hit a mammoth home run to straight center field in his fourth plate appearance of the night.

Moore’s hits were lined ropes. He hit the ball as hard as pretty much anyone you see in the majors. His home run was a 117 mph blast that went 440 feet. He also had a 110 mph triple and a 115 mph double.

Only four players have hit three balls 110+ mph in a major league game this year–Bobby Witt Jr., Oneil Cruz, Juan Soto and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Admittedly Moore isn’t using a wood bat, but the BBCOR bats are designed to replicate wood bat performance as far as exit velocities.

Moore’s home run was his 33rd of the season, moving him into a tie for second-most in Division I. Moore currently ranks 19th on the Baseball America Top 500 Draft rankings.
