Church sponsors back-to-school shopping

In the past, each child was allowed to select one outfit of clothes, a pair of shoes and underwear.

A church spokesman said that this year, the church was able to buy two outfits, a pair shoes, underwear and a book bag for each child. After a morning of shopping, the church treated everyone in the group to lunch at a Winston-Salem steak house.

Chestnut Grove Church Road is off Mertie Road.

The spokesman said it was a blessing to watch the kids shop and enjoy a day with thjeir church family.
