ERLANGER, Ky. — The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is recommending customers plan ahead if they’re flying through this Memorial Day weekend, as the holiday will bring an influx of passengers.

According to an airport press release, the airport is expecting 235,000 travelers between May 22 and May 28, 13% more than last year, with the busiest days being May 23, 24 and 27.

The busiest times for departures will be between 5 and 7 a.m.

The airport is offering the following tips ahead of the busy travel weekend:

  • Arrive at least two hours prior to departure time
  • Familiarize yourself with the airport’s parking options and know that the terminal garage can reach capacity
  • Download the app for your airline to check in early and receive notifications
  • Check out the TSA website for rules and restrictions as well information about accessibility

It was also just announced that Frontier Airlines has launched three new flights at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport. The flights are to Portland, Maine; Pensacola, Fla.; and Boston.
