City of Laredo to hold summit that aims to improve business downtown
LAREDO, Tx. (KGNS) – Revitalizing Laredo’s downtown area has been in talks for the past several years, which is why an upcoming summit in Laredo will focus on how to get that done.
The City of Laredo Downtown Business Improvement District along with the City of Laredo Downtown Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One will host industry experts for a panel discussion.
According to Councilmember Alyssa Cigarroa of District 8, these experts will share insight into downtown management best practices, as well as development, business and retail market trends.
“We’re bringing in industry experts and Executive Directors from downtown managements districts to have a panel discussion next Wednesday, April 24th, from 8:30 to 3:30, and we’ll be having a panel discussion and talking about some of the projects that are already underway downtown,” said Cigarroa.
The keynote speaker is Lorenzo Gomez, a leader in the downtown development industry will be joined by five others who have revitalized their respective city downtown areas.
