City of North Las Vegas launches free business workshop series for local entrepreneurs
Las Vegas (KSNV) — The City of North Las Vegas, in partnership with Peak Performance Partners and the Nevada Small Business Development Center at UNLV, is launching a comprehensive Business Excellence Workshop Series to empower local business owners.
The free, 11-month program is designed to provide North Las Vegas entrepreneurs with essential tools for operational excellence, leadership development, and sustainable growth.
Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown emphasized the importance of local businesses to the community, saying, “Our local businesses are the heart of North Las Vegas, and their success is integral to maintaining a strong, economically diverse and vibrant community. That’s why we’re invested in no-cost programs like this one to empower our residents with the skills and knowledge they need to not only grow their businesses but build thriving careers right here in North Las Vegas.”
Ricky Navar, president of Peak Performance Partners, highlighted the program’s significance, “This program is incredibly meaningful to me because it’s about giving back to the North Las Vegas business community, which plays such a vital role in our region’s growth. The series is designed to equip local business owners with the tools and strategies they need to thrive – it’s an opportunity to create lasting impact by fostering leadership, innovation, and sustainable success.”

The program will feature immersive monthly workshops and personalized strategic planning, addressing key areas critical to long-term success, including operational efficiency, financial acumen, leadership development, and conflict management.
Participants will also benefit from execution training, profitability strategies, leadership diagnosis, conflict management techniques, and sales excellence strategies.
Eligible participants must operate a business in North Las Vegas with a valid business license and generate a minimum of $2 million in annual gross revenue.
