NORTH LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas High School Coaches Association executive committee informed the AAA board of directors that the annual All-Star games will be discontinued.
According to the announcement sent via email, that decision comes after declining participation from athletes and coaches in recent years.
In place of the All-Star game contests, the AHSCA will name all-star rosters for each sport and recognize those athletes and coaches for their accomplishments.
The games were held during the week in June at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. The sports were soccer, softball, baseball, volleyball, basketball, and football.
