Code Girls United puts on tech fashion show
KALISPELL, Mont. — Code Girls United in Kalispell hosted their tech fashion show Monday night to show off the coding projects they have been working on.
The advanced class of girls ages 13-16 were challenged this session to use a microcontroller and LED strips to create and program a hat with a matching outfit.
Students got to strut up and down the runway to show off their outfits while judges voted on each one.
Code Girls United participant Katie Valentine told NBC Montana why she likes to participate in the program.
“I love doing it,” said Valentine. “It’s so much fun. It’s not everybody’s favorite hobby. Not even close, but I like really doing it. It makes me happy.”
