College football live scores, updates: Cincinnati at Colorado

Week 9 featured five games pitting AP Top 25 teams against each other, but this time there weren’t any shocking results or epic moments like previous weeks.

It was all chalk most of Saturday. No. 12 Notre Dame took advantage of six turnovers by No. 24 Navy in a 51-14 blowout. No. 4 Ohio State and No. 13 Indiana quelled any upset fears by holding on at home in Big Ten battles. Then No. 1 Oregon, No. 3 Penn State and No. 5 Texas took care of business later.

The most important result of the day was No. 14 Texas A&M’s 38-23 win over No. 8 LSU, which puts the Aggies at 5-0 in SEC play and alone atop the conference standings.

Otherwise, Saturday seemed like a showcase for personal achievements, with Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith becoming the first freshman in 19 years to catch a TD in each of his first seven games and Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel moving into the No. 2 spot in all-time touchdown passes.

Live134 updates

  • Touchdown Colorado!

Cincinnati went for it on fourth down near midfield with just over 30 seconds left in the half and didn’t get it and now the Buffs have made them pay for it.

It’s Shedeur Sanders to Travis Hunter again to give Colorado a 24-14 lead heading into the break.

  • SMU wins!

Maalik Murphy’s pass is incomplete on the 2-point try and SMU hangs on for the 28-27 victory in overtime! Mustangs improve to 4-0 in ACC play and the league title and CFP are still very much in play.

  • Duke is going for the win in OT

SMU scored a TD first, then Duke answered with a TD and will go for 2 for the victory.

  • Drama in Durham!

The Blue Devils have a chance to win it after a wild strip and return late in the fourth quarter.

  • K-State takes lead

The Wildcats have taken a 29-27 lead after a 51-yard field goal from Chris Tennant.

There’s still 1:43 left for Kansas to work with.

  • Final: Texas A&M 38, LSU 23

Marcel Reed is the hero of the day for the Aggies, who inserted him at QB in the 2nd half and never looked back. A&M improves to 5-0 in SEC play for sole possession of first place.

  • Touchdown Cincinnati!

The Bearcats have tied things up in Boulder on a 14-yard run from Evan Pryor.

There’s 9:31 left in the second quarter.

  • Texas A&M adds a FG

Randy Bond hits from 26 yards to extend the Aggies’ lead to 38-23.

    3:44 to play.

  • Duke misses FG

The Blue Devils would have just taken the lead on SMU, but kicker Todd Pelino just botched a 42-yarder so it’s still 21-21 with just over 5 minutes left in the ACC clash.

  • Touchdown Colorado!

The Buffs have retaken the lead after a short scramble from Shedeur Sanders.

    It’s 14-7 Colorado.

  • Texas A&M gets another INT!

Garrett Nussmeier throws his 3rd interception of the 2nd half, this one to Taurean York, and the Aggies are feeling it now.

They’re up 12 with a little more than 6:31 to play.

  • Touchdown Texas A&M!

The Marcel Reed show continues as he moves the Aggies right down the field for another score.

Le’Veon Moss finished it with a 3-yard rush.

But Reed showed off his deep passing skills along the way.

  • Colorado-Cincinnati heating up

The teams have traded touchdowns so far in this important battle of upper-end Big 12 teams.

  • Final: Penn State 28, Wisconsin 13

Gutsy road win in Madison for No. 3 Nittany Lions, who played the entire 2nd half with a backup QB after Drew Allar left injured. They’ll head into next week’s matchup vs. Ohio State at 7-0.

  • LSU answers with a TD

LSU finally slows down Texas A&M’s runaway momentum train as Garrett Nussmeier caps a 78-yard drive with a touchdown on a 1-yard keeper.

After the 2-point try fails, Texas A&M leads 28-23 with 9:57 to play.

  • Final: Michigan 24, Michigan State 17

In a duel between two rivals that are both struggling, the Paul Bunyan Trophy stays with Michigan. And of course there was a little pushing and shoving at the end of the game. No love lose between these teams.

  • Texas A&M extends the lead with a TD!

Marcel Reed scores his 3rd TD of the game on a 3-yard run and the Aggies continue their 2nd-half domination.

It’s a 28-17 lead over LSU with 14:07 to play.

  • Final: Miami 36, Florida State 14

It’s a nice win in a rivalry game for No. 6 Miami, which remains undefeated at 8-0. Florida State falls to 1-7 as this disastrous season continues.

  • Touchdown Penn State!

Kaytron Allen scampers 24 yards for another score after taking the direct snap, and that should put a bow on this one.

Penn State is up 28-13 with 3:10 to play in Madison.
