College World Series rain delay: Weather forecast for Thursday’s CWS schedule, bracket
Inclement weather in the Omaha, Nebraska area altered the 2024 College World Series schedule, pushing a game back a day for the first time in the event this year.
Those delays may not be done, either.
Wednesday will be a busy day at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, with three CWS games set to take place after no more than two games were played on any of the tournament’s first five days. The crowded slate came as a result of an elimination game between No. 2 Kentucky and Florida getting moved from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning due to storms in Omaha.

For now, the matchup between the Wildcats and Gators is set to be played before an afternoon meeting between No. 1 Tennessee and No. 8 Florida State. The winner of the Kentucky-Florida game will take on No. 3 Texas A&M on Wednesday night.
Those plans, however, might be subject to change as more inclement weather is in the forecast for Wednesday morning in Omaha, which could impact the Kentucky-Florida game and create a domino effect that delays the beginning of the other two contests.
