Comanche Nation Fitness Center to host summer duo challenge

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Comanche Nation Fitness Center will host a Summer Duo Challenge, for Comanche members and employees.

“The workouts are up to the duo, they have the option of working out freely, using personal trainers, and the option of participating in circuit classes or spin classes,” said Personal Trainer Talon Satepauhoodle.

The Summer Duo Challenge is incentive-based, and the winning duos will be awarded exclusive prizes.

“It’s not too late so come in here with a partner and have a ball in here with us, you get five points for every day that you are here, it’s based on a point system so by the end of July whoever has the most points is going to win wonderful prizes,” Satepauhoodle said.

The fitness center will be keeping a leaderboard, and Satepauhoodle believes “…we all have a competitive edge, and that edge comes out even more when prizes are involved.”

“Some of us are too old to compete in sports anymore so we have to compete in something, so that’s what helps us give that drive and give that little bit of oomph and also it helps us push to pass the one-month barrier that a lot of people have when they first start in fitness, they start doing great, they’re satisfied with one month, lose five pounds, 10 pounds and then they stop coming so we’re trying to keep people coming to the fitness center,” Satepauhoodle stated.

The Summer Duo Challenge is to encourage participants to get up and get going.
