Commanders activate Jonathan Allen from IR

Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen will be back in the Commanders lineup against the Falcons on Sunday night.

Allen was activated from injured reserve on Saturday. He has been out since Week Six with a pectoral injury that was originally thought to be a season-ender, but Allen was able to rehab to the point that he’ll help the Commanders try to make it to the playoffs.

The Commanders also announced that quarterback Marcus Mariota is off the injury report. He was previously listed as questionable for personal reasons.

As previously reported, defensive tackle Phildarian Mathis was placed on waivers. Cornerback Kevon Seymour and wide receiver Brycen Tremayne were both called up from the practice squad on a temporary basis to round out the day’s moves.
