Connor Stalions coaching Michigan target Bryce Underwood after switching high school jobs during season
Former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions, who was the subject of a major sign-stealing investigation with the Wolverines last year, has resurfaced as an offensive play-caller for a prominent Michigan high school.
Stalions is reportedly part of the coaching staff at Belleville (Mich.).
Belleville head coach Dejuan Rogers told CBS Detroit that Stalions became a part of his team’s coaching staff shortly after the regular season ended. Belleville is currently in the MHSAA playoffs.
The high school Connor Stalions is now working at is also the home of coveted five-star quarterback prospect Bryce Underwood, a player Michigan has been trying to flip for quite some time. Underwood has been committed to LSU since Jan. 6.
Underwood would be a significant piece should the Wolverines manage to land him; he’s currently rated as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2025 class, while he’s very close to a consensus No. 1 recruit in the class across all services.
For Connor Stalions, the high school gig is his second in a short time period.
Earlier this season he served on the staff of Detroit Mumford High School as the program’s defensive coordinator and interim coach.
Stalions has also reportedly lined up some media type work with Barstool Sports, Dan ‘Big Cat’ Katz recently revealed.
Connor Stalions has appeared on Barstool airwaves in the past, including recently during the 2024 college football season. It’s unclear what capacity Stalions is expected to work with the outlet, but it does appear that he’ll be working alongside some of the fan favorites at the media company.
Of course, Stalions made headlines over the last few months after not only starring in his very own Netflix special on the ‘Untold’ series, but also serving as the interim head coach at Detroit Mumford.
Now he’s in a new spot, and Michigan fans will anxiously await to see if the self-avowed Wolverines fanatic can lend a hand in a key recruitment.
