Considering Bangs? Mugler Wants Them to Cover Your Eyes

With colder months fast approaching, we are bidding adieu to fashion month and archiving all those runway snaps that have been consuming our screenshot folder for weeks. And now, the eager anticipation of covetable beauty looks that will inevitably spawn future trends. The Paris shows especially stood out for pushing the boundaries of experimental beauty. Minimalist beauty will forever and always remain a classic, but the latest trends implore you to embrace the unconventional. For instance: why not consider bangs that completely cover your eyes?

Ahead, peruse our favorite beauty looks from the Paris Fashion Week spring/summer 2025 runways that we, at ELLE, won’t shut up about.

Bang, Bang!

Mugler’s spring/summer 2025 beauty look should come with a disclaimer: “Not for the faint of heart.” In line with the dark and moody theme of the collection, models (and Cardi B) sported sharp V-shaped bangs that covered both eyes and fell just slightly under the nose. If you were considering Sabrina Carpenter-esque bangs for a pre-spring makeover, but want something a little less Short n’ Sweet, Mugler’s take on curtain bangs is a grungy update for those who want to stand out.

Winter Arc this, 75 Strong that—as we inch closer to the end of the year, workouts are top of mind, including at Dior. The spring/summer 2025 presentation honored the strength of women in the form of smudgy liner, worn-in blush placed just under the cheekbone, and, of course, Dior double headbands.

New Year’s is a world away, but Loewe and Casablanca already have your holiday party looks covered. According to Casablanca, a simple silver lid won’t cut it; instead, brush the shade well above your lids and slightly into your brow arches for a dramatic, blown-out look.

For a pared-down option that’s equally alluring, Loewe added extravagant silver graphic wings on the lids, stretching the end out past the tail of the brow.

With Halloween approaching, Dries van Noten presented a playful, eye-catching alternative to basic lash extensions: colorful lashes. Vibrant and neon-hued, they drew just the right amount of attention without overshadowing the colorful runway designs.
