Construction Walls Down and New Signage Installed at Disney Wonderful World of Sweets – WDW News Today
The new Disney Wonderful World of Sweets store in the Downtown Disney District is now a step closer to being completed.
New Signage Installed
It seems many of the construction projects in the Downtown Disney District are nearing completion, with the new Parkside Market kitchens soft opening just this week. Now, the construction walls surrounding Disney Wonderful World of Sweets have been removed, providing us with a much closer look at the new store.
The confectionery has plenty of tall windows for letting in natural light, and decals of sprinkles cover the top panes. The columns near the door are colored pink, blue, and yellow using a tie-dye effect. Short metal barriers have been placed in front of the store’s main entrance to prevent guests from entering.
The new sign looks very similar to the one seen in the original concept art of the building’s exterior. The sign is a large white circle with rippled edges lined in teal. “Disney Wonderful World of Sweets” is printed in the center. The word “Sweets” is a pink and blue ombre with yellow lines in the middle of each letter.
Yellow stickers with a similar shape to the official sign have been posted on all the doors. The stickers tell guests that “Disney Wonderful World of Sweets is unwrapping soon!”
Wonderful World of Sweets
First announced in August of 2024, Disney Wonderful World of Sweets is a confectionery store replacing the previous Marceline’s Confectionery. Guests will be able to purchase a variety of candy, sweets, and treats, including popular items like churro toffee, caramel apples, sour balls, lollipops, packaged confections, and freshly made Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn. Disney has also stated the store will have an exhibition kitchen viewable from both inside the store and the outside windows so guests may watch new treats being created.
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets is scheduled to open sometime this winter, but no exact opening date has been announced yet.
