One thing’s for sure, amid the hustle and bustle, you’ll be asked the same thing again and again at the checkout line: Would you like to open a store credit card?

Usually, store credit cards come with a big initial discount on your purchase.

While that makes the offer all the more tempting, Consumer Reports said to think twice before you sign the dotted line.
